Spring

  • Farm Fest.
      Farm Fest at Remick Museum, 58 Cleveland Hill Road in Tamworth. All events are free. For more information call 323-7591.
  • Tin Mountain Nature Program .
      Tin Mountain Conservation Center wildflowers walk at Humphrey’s Ledge. Meet at Diana’s Bath parking lot. Call 447-6991 for reservations.
  • Fun Frog Frolic.
      Tin Mountain Conservation Center Fun Frog Frolic at the Jackson Field Station. A nocturnal exploration of the area's best frog pond in search of spring peepers, toads, green frogs, and bullfrogs. Bring a flashlight and rubber boots. Please call 447-6991 for reservations.
  • Brownfield Bog Birdwalk.
      Meet at Grant's Market in Brownfield, Maine at 7 a.m. for an excursion into the Brownfield Bog. Bring binoculars, rubber boots, and a snack.
  • Nature Walk.
      The Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests walk on the David Little Conservation Easement
  • Bearcamp River Dam Visit.
      Tamworth Conservation Commission and Tamworth Historical Society visit to the remains of the Bearcamp River Dam For further information call 323-7793.
  • Bird Walk.
      Taking place every Wednesday, a series of Tamworth area bird walks, in association with Tamworth Conservation Commission, will leave from the parking lot next to Tamworth Inn. Meet at the parking lot at Tamworth Town House. Expect short carpool drives and walks. Bring binoculars. Rain or shine, except not in a deluge. Contact: Ned Beecher, 323-7862.
  • Bird Walk.
      Every Friday, a series of Wolfeboro area bird walks will leave from the railroad station in Wolfeboro. 569-3974
  • Big Band & Swing April Weekend
      A musical step back in time will rekindle the romance of the Big Band era. The Mount Washington Hotel's Grand Ballroom dance floor becomes a blur of smiles as couples twirl in unison to a live performance featuring all the best dance tunes.       The Ham Arena hosts the best products and services for home and garden. It includes displays of centerpieces, home decorating displays, pottery and ceramics, lawn and garden sculpture, framers, birdfeeders, nurseries and landscapers galore.   • "Junior" Railroaders' Day at Conway Scenic Railroad
      Join us as we celebrate our "Annual June Junior Railroaders" Day. A fun filled day for the "Junior" Railroader in mind. Activities will be featured most of the day and will include handcar rides, Special Trains with Special Fare, turntable rides, face painting, and much more. Food and Beverage Service will be available on regular passenger trains and our Special Trains. Bartlett departure at 11:30am and Conway at 1:30pm. Special Train Departures to Glen are 10:00am, 1:15pm & 3:00pm. Special Drawings to be held hourly where a model railroader starter set will be presented to the lucky winner.
